I choose to live for the future. The past is only part of who I am and it is for sure a huge part of my foundation. However, it is not all of me and I will not allow it to consume me. We all have to acknowledge our past and accept our present but our future is where we are headed so why get stuck in the minutia of the negativity of the past that cannot be changed. We have a future and it is up to us how amazing it is.
There is a huge difference between Limiting and Empowering Beliefs. When all you do is allow yourself to be run by your limiting beliefs you are held back and can never achieve anywhere close to your full potential. When limiting beliefs take hold they become obstacle to overcome, but if we focus on the positives and the empowering beliefs, the sky is the limit. Embracing the positives can take you to heights you had never imagined when you listen to your limiting beliefs you get held back. Focus on your positives and let your empowering beliefs allow you to soar.
Are you sitting on the “make a huge decision in your life” fence? I know I battle with this often and have had to throw caution to the wind and just take a leap of faith! Actually believing in myself, not simply doing what I have always done. Taking a Leap of Faith means that you have to trust your gut. Not rely on your brain or your heart, because both of these have their own walls that will prevent us from truly letting go and making new things happen. By throwing caution to the wind you can truly live the life that is meant to be. Not just the “I am safe” version of life that your brain and heart agree you are able to handle. Push your limits and take a risk at times. That Leap of Faith could very well be the most amazing future you could never have imagined.
If you are going to have dreams make them BIG DREAMS. Every step towards your goal needs to be significant and when you set your goals to small you don’t work as hard to reach them. If you Dream Bigger than you could ever imagine and work towards those dreams every day, even in small doses you will in time reach that end game but you can appreciate the steps along the way and truly appreciate when you reach it. Aim small and all you will end up doing is wondering if you could have gone further. Never limit your dreams. Set the limits higher than you can ever possibly imagine and never stop working toward that dream.
I have this theory of déjà vu. I believe before we are born we are shown many “moments” in our life that we will eventually reach. These moments will happen at some point in our lives but it is truly our choice how we get to them. I see it like a clam shell of sorts. The base of the shell is the point we are trying to reach and every time we reach that moment we are given a flash of the memory as a way to know we have reached that moment. Each time we have this flash we are then given the choice of “roads” to take to get to the next one. You are basically standing at the top of the clam shell with many choices of roads to take. Some are shorter with a few bumps in the road and some are longer but no matter which road you chose at that moment, you are inevitably going to reach that “moment”. Have you ever noticed that sometimes you have déjà vu within days of each other and other times you don’t have one for years? I believe that is because the shorter road was chosen and you made it to that”moment” quicker than if you were to have taken a longer road. We all have choices in life. It is up to us what roads we take. Even when bad things happen to us we chose if those things will destroy us or if they will make us stronger. Chose your road and remember there is a great moment to come, you just have to be sure you chose wisely and get there the best way you can. Even the long roads can be the fun ones if you enjoy the journey. Never regret choices you have made. Learn from your mistakes and grow from them.
